ABOUT INTERFAITH EMERGENCY SERVICES:
Interfaith Emergency Services provides a full range of services and assistance for residents of Marion County that are in need. Families and individuals are referred to Interfaith by churches, synagogues, public services agencies or word of mouth.

They provide basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, medications, hygiene items and much more to enhance the quality of life and ease the burden for those in financial distress. Their clients are those experiencing homelessness, senior citizens, veterans, people with disabilities and the under-employed. Learn more here: https://iesmarion.org.

VOLUNTEER DAY DETAILS:
Date: Wednesday, February 8
Time: 9:00-11:30am (please arrive 5 minutes early)
Addresses (2 volunteer locations):
Food Pantry: 450 NW 2nd St. Ocala, FL 34475
Thrift Store: 718 N Pine Ave. Ocala, FL 34475

WHAT WE WILL BE DOING:
There will be 2 available volunteer opportunities this day:
1) Food Pantry - Help with sorting food, packing groceries and taking groceries to clients cars
2) Thrift Store - Help with sorting donations both inside and outside in their donation alley

CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS:
Everyone must come in closed toed shoes and clothing that may get dirty. If you are going to be a painting volunteer, please come in painting clothes/shoes.

PARKING:
Please carpool if you can as parking is limited in the parking lots.

NOTES:
This event will be capped at 20 volunteers total (10 at the food pantry, 10 at the thrift store). Interfaith Emergency Services operates out of small spaces. :) If we get more than 20 volunteers, we will take the first 20 to register.
Once arriving at your location, please note that cell signal can be weak in these areas, please know your way back.
