Special Olympics Florida is excited to be hosting the State Equestrian and Cornhole Championships on April 5-6 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida!

Dates: Thursday, April 4 - Saturday, April 6, 2024
Volunteers are needed to assist with the following tasks:
- Set-up Assistant: Help get the event ready the day before the competition. Help unload vehicles, organize and distribute items throughout the complex, place out signage, etc. **Should have the ability to lift 25lbs**
- Equestrian Assistant: Work with the Competition Management team to assist with putting on the equestrian event. This could include tasks such as serving at athlete check-in, escorting athletes to/from the field of play, or resetting the trail course obstacles. Some volunteers in this role will also help prepare and present awards and assist with lunch distribution.
- Cornhole Assistant: Serve as scorekeeper and at athlete check-in for the Cornhole competition. Some volunteers in this role will also help prepare and present awards and assist with lunch distribution.
- Opening Night Celebration Assist: Monitor the entrance for the Opening Night Celebration and mark off the wristband of those attending.
A knowledge of the sport is NOT required for any position - we will teach you everything you need to know! Volunteers will receive a T-Shirt for their participation. Lunch will be provided for those working shifts longer than 4 hours.
