First Fruit Ministries has a lot of opportunities for you to get involved, from volunteering in the food pantry, to mentoring, or creating a fun and meaningful experience for your group!

Volunteer Opportunities
Food Pantry
First Fruits Ministry Food Pantry serves food-insecure neighbors in Wilmington by providing fresh food boxes 3 days per week. Volunteers assist with stocking shelves, sorting food items, check-in, assisting clients in building their boxes, and clean-up. This volunteer activity is suitable for children ages 10 and older with an accompanying adult.
Mondays, 9am-12:30pm
Wednesdays, 8am-1:30pm
Saturdays, 8:40am-12:30pm
Outreach Center
Our Day Shelter provides homeless neighbors with showers, a laundromat, hot meals, clothes and toiletries, and assistance with finding shelter. Volunteers serve as mentors, serve meals, wash and dry laundry, and distribute supplies.
Tuesdays, 9am-3pm (women's day shelter)
Thursdays, 9am-3pm
Group Service Projects
Group service projects include landscaping, painting, organizing the food pantry, and sorting donations. The typical group size is 5-10 people usually, with fifteen people max.
*Usually scheduled on Saturdays from 9am-1pm
Attire
Please wear closed toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
Family Friendly
Children ages 10 and up are welcome to volunteer as long as they have parental supervision.
