WHAT IS SAFEHOUSE MINISTRIES?
Safehouse Ministries' purpose is to provide immediate, short term shelter to individuals and families who find themselves homeless due to domestic violence, financial collapse or natural disaster. Our aim is to empower survivors of domestic and sexual violence through support and advocacy and to educate the community to prevent future abuse. Services are offered out of Christian compassion based on need, without regard to ethnicity or creed.
VOLUNTEER DAY DETAILS
Date: Saturday, March 2nd
Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm (please arrive 5 minutes early)
Address: 435 Elbert St. Elberton, GA 30635
Parking: Parking is inside the fenced area on gravel/grass. You will come in thru the gate on Lockin Street (we are the old coke factory brick building).
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING
We will be helping with numerous projects from organizing pantry/household items, cleanup outdoors areas, prep and paint (weather dependent) and anything else they need.
CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS
Wear closed toe shoes like sneakers or boots. If you have work gloves those might be handy. Please also bring your own water and snacks if you'd like.
NOTES
This is a family friendly volunteer event, but if you have littles, please know that it will be your responsibility to supervise them.
