seRVing Veterans With Purpose

Fun two day event at the Missouri Veteran's Home in St James. We're going to have some cleaning and working around the home in the mornings and in the afternoons we'll have fun time with bingo and a poker walk.  Just spending time chatting with veterans will make their day!

Dates: Thursday, 10/12 and Friday, 10/13 (See times below):

Thursday, 10/12

9-11am - We will do a wheelchair wash where the vets will stay in chairs and roll down hallways inside or out (weather depending) and we'll clean them up. Once the chairs are done we will give them the ditty bags that we filled with donations from a local RV rally.

2pm - We will assist the Sullivan VFW with bingo.

Friday, 10/13

9-12pm We will work on the gazebo / garden areas, cleaning benches, sprucing up the garden beds, filling the bird feeders. 2pm we will have some fun with a poker walk, residents will walk the halls picking cards from each one for a winning poker hand.  We'll have popcorn and sodas afterwards and we will give awards out!

This is going to be so much fun, hoping to reach out to local RV parks for any volunteers who might be wanting to participate.
