The Salvation Army Food Pantry

The Ames food & family pantry helps bridge the gap by offering nutritional staples -- including canned goods, and packaged foods  -- personal care items like diapers, toilet paper, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products and meat to those struggling to find the means to provide adequate food and household supplies for themselves and their families. Residents of Story County are eligible to visit the food pantry once every 30 days.

Food & Family Pantry and Doing the Most Good Market happens every:

Monday, Tuesday & Friday, 1-3 p.m.

Wednesday & Thursday, 1-3:30 p.m.

The Salvation Army needs an array of volunteers not only on the market days and times but also prior to help stock, sort, and more at their pantry located at 703 E Lincoln Way in Ames.
